Billing questions
How the money actually works.
Do unused credits expire?
They roll over for 60 days. After that they lapse. Credits are drawn oldest-first, so rolled-over balance is always spent before the current month's allocation.
What happens when I run out of credits?
By default the workspace keeps working and the overage lands on your next invoice at the same published rates. Turn on the hard stop in billing settings and requests are refused at the limit instead, with a clear message rather than a silent failure.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated to the day. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you keep what you have already paid for. Seats can be added instantly; removals apply at renewal.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Twenty percent, billed once up front. The credit allocation is granted monthly rather than as a single annual lump, so a quiet January does not consume the year's budget.
Do you offer education or non-profit pricing?
Forty percent off every paid plan for accredited institutions and registered non-profits. Write to sales@swurl.ai from an institutional address.
How does Team billing work with pooled credits?
Every seat contributes its allocation to a single workspace pool. A heavy user can draw more than their share as long as the pool holds, which is usually cheaper than sizing every seat for the busiest person. Per-seat caps stop any one account from draining it.
